Laura  Spingola is the founder and President of Trade Resources Ltd.,  a Chicago-based international

Development company that provides international management, marketing, and reporting services for business.  Laura has conducted business in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America for trade and investment promotion.  She has completed international projects for industry groups, economic development organizations, universities and companies of all sizes for over twenty years.  Laura has been an Adjunct Professor of International Management at National Louis University and Mundelein College in Chicago, and served as Assistant Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Economic Development.  An experienced trader of foreign currencies, agricultural commodities and precious metals, Spingola grasped global business early on the floor of Chicago’s futures exchanges.  Now she creates innovative data reports for global business development.  Laura has received numerous economic forecasting awards.  The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago highlighted her research on the topic:  “International Trade: Winners and Losers” at its Seventeenth Annual Economic Outlook Symposium.

                Most recently she coauthored the “World Trade Center Chicago Guide to Doing Business in the U.S.” that is due for release in January, 2005.

                Laura holds a BS degree in marketing with a minor in urban studies from Indiana University and an MBA in international management from Loyola University Chicago.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Council, Canadian Club of Chicago and the Chicago Chamber Music Society.
