James Perttula

James Perttula is a Team Leader and Senior Policy Advisor in the Trade and International Policy Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, where he has worked for more than nine years. He has handled a range of international and interprovincial trade issues and disputes, including issues related to government procurement, alcoholic beverages, water exports and labour mobility. Currently, James leads the Ontario government=s work on trade in services. James also represents Ontario on C-Trade, the Canadian federal-provincial forum on international trade issues. He has worked for the Ontario government since 1990, spending time at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, prior to joining the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. He has a degree in urban planning from the University of Waterloo, and a degree in public administration from Carleton University.
