Samuel P. Troy
Samuel P. Troy serves as
the Regional Network Director for the Southeastern U.S. Export Assistance Center
of the U.S. Department of Commerce located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As Network Director, Troy is responsible for coordinating and managing the export promotion and trade facilitation efforts of the U.S. Department of Commerce within North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Troy joined the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1973. He has served the Department in several positions including: Regional Network Director of the Sunbelt Export Assistance Centers, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia; Director, North Carolina District Office, Greensboro; Regional Managing Director and Director of Domestic Operations, Washington, DC. Prior to Commerce, he was Senior Sales Manager for Ridgeway Clocks, Ridgeway, Virginia; and International and Contract Sales Manager, The Lane Companies, Altavista, Virginia.
During his career he has traveled extensively to over 50 countries.
Troy holds a B.A. from Elon University, an M.A. from East Carolina University, and a Degree of Higher European Studies from the College of Europe in Belgium.
